Eyebrows, Eyeliner and Lips
Athena Spa is licensed Body-Art Facility registered with the Orange County Health Department. All items that touch the skin are single use and are discarded after the treatment.
Each treatment takes approximately two hours. Please follow recommended after-care. Results will last for up to 3 years, depending on individual circumstances (e.g. skin type, thickness and depth of color chosen, lifestyle and products used (ie: glycolic and retinols), and fade gradually and naturally. Touch-ups are recommended within two months. See below for details on each treatment.
Eyebrows: $400, Touch-Ups $100
Eyeliner $200 upper or lower only, $400 upper and lower, Touch-ups $75 each (upper or lower)
Lips $450, Lip Liner only $350 – Touch-ups $100, $75 Liner only
Eyebrows
Microblading is a cutting edge method of permanent makeup designed to enhance the eyebrows. It involves a certified and licensed artist using a hand held tool with a very fine blade to draw the individual hairs, creating the illusion of perfectly shaped beautiful brows.
We will first draw on the brow by hand, strand by strand, to get to the shape that is made just for you. Our specialist will take into account existing brow shape, your facial structure,and your preferences. Once we decide on the brow form, we consult on the color. A topical numbing cream is applied which will take approximately 20 minutes to take effect. Then, the specialist will use a specially-made tool to delicately apply pigment to the top layers of skin, strand-by-strand into the brow design.
There is no downtime, however the brow will take about two weeks to fully heal. The brow may appear darker than you are used to for a few days, then will lighten into the desired color within two weeks. Please follow after-care instructions.
You may experience peeling (typically noticeable only up close) and fading of the brow. This is natural and part of the treatment process. The follow-up session will build on the color that has already been absorbed into the skin.
Apply Aquaflor for the best results. Use a q-tip to apply to eyebrows. Do not pick at the brow when the color starts to peel. To be certain color is not compromised, please avoid the following for one week after treatment: sun exposure, saunas, excessive sweating, and brow makeup. Avoid the following for two weeks: swimming and facials.
Eyeliner
We will first draw on the eyeliner by hand to get the shape, thickness, length, and color that you desire. A topical numbing cream will be applied, which will take approximately 20 minutes to take effect. The specialist will use medical-grade device to create the eyeliner. Then entire treatment will last about two hours.
There is no downtime, however the eyeliner will take about a week to heal. Please follow after-care instructions. You may experience peeling of the eyeliner color and fading of the treatment area. This is natural and part of the treatment process.
Please remove lash extensions before the treatment.
Lips
We will consult with you on the color choice that best suits your skin tone and lip color. Then, we will review how best to correct or improve lip shape if necessary. A topical numbing cream will be applied, which will take approximately 20 minutes to take effect. The specialist will use medical-grade device to create the lip stain.
There is no downtime, however the lip will take about two weeks to heal. Please follow after-care instructions. You may experience fading of the treatment area. This is natural and part of the treatment process.
